I’m having an issue with a fan override switch I’m installing in my dash
Switch is wired up fine and works the fan ok.
However when I try and run an LED warning light, odd things happen
With the switch off and the ignition on, I have 12v to one terminal of the switch.
I have grounded the LED and if I touch the other wire to the live terminal, the indicator lights up (that’s the 12v in) turning the switch on so the fan comes on, the lead is still live but the LED goes out.
Touching the LED wire to the other side of the switch produces no reaction from the light with it off or on (have I explained that ok?)
I’ve tried swapping wires, but nothing works. Any ideas?
