Anybody got any recommendations for a good solid corded impact wrench.
I don’t have an air systems and don’t want to get into battery ecosystems so looking for corded.
The strongest one I could find was Porter Cable but that’s 120v.

Re: Impact wrenches
I have both air and 240v ones. The air one is good, but my compressor isn't really big enough to give sufficient running time. The mains operated one is extremely heavy and cumbersome to use so I hardly ever use it now, even on large heavily corroded agricultural applications, and tend to use a 3/4" sq drive socket with a long breaker bar. If I was in the market for a new impact wrench, I would go down the battery route with either a DeWalt or Milwaukee. One other consideration with an impact wrench is the fact you will need impact sockets as standard ones aren't really up for the job.
As for the battery argument, we all use rechargeable batteries whether it is for mobile phones laptops etc, so I wouldn't lose any sleep using battery powered tools.

I have a Milwaukee 18v battery powered gun in 3/8 drive. Fantastic tool and used every day with a good battery life.

Re: Impact wrenches
Thanks for the words of wisdom. Decided to go down the battery route in the end as you make complete sense and have lined up a Dewalt XR for Christmas . At 1625 Nm of breakaway torque I fear for the bolts!

By heck what bolts are they?
That's approx 1200ft/lbs.
It must be one hell of a thread size.

Re: Impact wrenches
Indeed Clive!
Peter, that’s what the wrench is documented to shift, not what I’ll need! I’d assume it could be used on truck wheels etc. that or the documentation is extremely optimistic and equates to a scenario that never exists in the real world. We’ll know when I use it for the first time

Indeed Clive! And you’ve seen how bandy my wrists are

Excellent .
Used the Dewalt for the first time yesterday. Wish I’d brought one years ago! Now need to box it up again for Christmas
