telescopic shockers on MGB rear axle?

Post by kenv »

Hi, has anyone fitted telescopic shock absorbers to the back of the Ace/289 with leaf springs. Most kits don't seem to available for lowered springs etc

I did in the past using Gaz shocks. Picture attached. The chassis has a mount point at the top and Gerry has a bracket for it.

Have you spoken with Gerry. I think it’s a pretty simple upgrade.

Dave.

I have them on my MGB rear axle. You need a bracket that lowers the bottom mounting point for the shock absorber to stop the shocker "bottoming out".
