MGB front Lever Arm damper

I bought brand new upgraded MGB shocks which didn't last long before they leaked, quite badly I'd say.
Sent them off for reseal they still leak, again quite badly.
Am I doing something wrong?
MGB front with Ford 289.

Have you got the correct springs for the weight of the Ford lump.

I not sure that the MGB lever arm damper system is really up to the weight of a Ford V8 lump. Im running a Rover but have still got Gerry's coil over shock system fitted. Its so much better and infinately adjustable.
