I've emailed you a picture and further explanation Nige.
To qualify Roger's post slightly. The blades weren't actually "riveted" in place, but each one has two tabs on each end, which locate into slots in the surrounding frame and they are then bent over at right angles, each one in the opposite direction to the other.
Following Nik's post, there does appear to be an extra bracket, probably half way up the rear edge to support the taller grill.

So they are, quite right. That's what happens when you rely on your memory at my age.PaulB wrote:To qualify Roger's post slightly. Re: project insanity
Not neccesarily a failing of memory, Mr.K, these extra brackets (on the front, can`t see the back?) may have been unique to the LM spec vents?Roger King wrote:So they are, quite right. That's what happens when you rely on your memory at my age.

That extra bracket certainly looks like it is riveted, but we're referring the how the blades fasten to the frame Nik. You can see the tabs on the bottom of the blades in the picture of the white car above, presumably 644 CGT (or was it 645 CGT? )

I`m sorry, I have a cold.
Yes, 645. (CSX2142)
(although to be fair, Willment couldn`t always remember registrations numbers, as 644CGT inexplicably had 'PGT' instead on occasion.)

That has to be one of the best sketches that the Pythons did, thanks for that Clive . It never ceases to amaze me, the amount f knowledge that you guys have for the smallest of details, hopefully it should help make my build a lot easier in the long term, thanks againclive wrote:I tried so hard to resist......nikbj68 wrote:I`m sorry, I have a cold.

So... just to be clear... do we refer to Nik as 'Miss' from now on? Happy to comply
