Parabolic leaf springs

Post by Dave Woodward »

Swapped my leaf springs yesterday for parabolics with massive support from Stu Clarke. Took a lot longer than anticipated but Stu's patience and Sonia's hospitality were exemplary. Thanks both.

Ride is definitely improved with the parabolics being far less bouncy and a lot of the unwanted road surface detail being filtered out.

Thanks also to Allan T for supplying the springs :D

Having just started driving one with transverse leafsprings, I can confirm the truth of that statement

No worries Dave, team effort and all!

Could you ask Allan if he got them from GB Springs in Brum and did they re-temper them?

I wouldn't want plastic parabolics, parabolics of steel is what you need!

Plastic parabolics won't rust, and would be liquid-proof and smoother to the touch

Possibly time for a change of subject
