Gents,
For those of you that have drawn sick of me attending events, forever talking of the car that is still in build, I am pleased to inform you that she has just passed the SVA test and is off to the paint shop tomorrow.
I look forward to attending future events with something more than excuses.
Thanks to those of you that have offered advise and assistance over the years.
It has been worth the wait.
A couple of pics ready for painting ...
Dave.

Congratulations Dave, that's wonderful news. Let's hope you will have a good summer to enjoy the fruits of your labour!
Cheers, Clive.

Dave,
Sorry, just spotted this one, well done. You must be one of the longest most committed builders? Looking good!!

Dave,
Congratulations, looks great - reminds me of when my car just went through SVA and was still unpainted and 'unfinished' with all those post-SVA things to do to the car. This was the most pleasureable part of the build for me knowing that I could do what I wanted to the car without worrying about SVA.
Hopefully we will see your car at Slverstone this year.

John,
Thanks for the 'longest and most committed builder' reference. Not sure that this is an honour I truly want to hold though !!!!!
Lets just say that it has been worth the wait, and NO MORE KIDS !!!

Looks great, What paint did you go for, in the photo it looks kind of a metallicy-charcoal or is it a black of sorts?

Re: Through SVA !!!
SJ, the paint is a Jaguar titanium. It is the darkest titanium that they do. In the flesh it is a deep metallic grey, with a hint of blue.
If you have seen Bill Telfords car in the flesh I believe that it is the same colour.
Re the boot, it opens fine. The boot lid hinges up and doesn't come close to the rear bumper.
Dave.
