The clock is ticking down Migge. Two weeks to go!
Cheers, Clive.

(If I'm not here I'm in my workshop or on the golf course!)

Migge,
I appreciate that the black roundals had a white edge and hence you spray white before the black but couldn't the stripes have just been one coat black?
Looking forward to seeing the beast in the flesh regardless of whether you have or haven't finished the last few details.
Let's face it every car is work in progress.
All the best with the road testing.

Peter,

Meatballs AND stripes had white edges.

White cost me 10h. 9.5h taping every single corner inside and outside (doors and bonnet) to avoid any white paint. 0.5h just painting
Black cost me another 10h. Same sh.....

And clear coat will kill me again.

I remove the masking tape each time because I can see small changes on the clear/yellow laque. The longer it stays the bad it is

Your attention to detail is amazing Migge. I think Allen will be suitably impressed.

Migge
Thanks for update on the white edges.
Nearly there !!!!
I think we all have a continuous dropped jaw at the meticulous attention to detail that you are giving this car. I appreciate that you car is not as authentic underneath as Roger's but wow the looks are fantastic.
Please say that you are coming to Silverstone on Sat.
You will have to put railings around it to keep the crowds from getting too close.

Well,

Two weeks to go and a bit of work too. Just need 100 or so miles test driving. Hometown to Silverstone is approx. 750km one way :?

I really try to drive her to Siverstone, finger crossed.
No tunnel, no hotel, no tickets at the moment.
Will decide just before the weekend.
