Hi Guys,
Sorry to raise the old question of tires again, but I have been trying to find a set of P4000's and they are no longer available even from the States where everyone seems to have had backlog orders for months. As far as I can ascertain the technical term most commonly used for its successors the P6000 or P6 is CRAP!, and they do not seem to be available in the /70/ size section anyway. The best alternative Ive been offered is Avons at an eye watering £220 each. Does any know a supplier of P4000's or can suggest a credible alternative tire?

Got mine from Blackcircles.com but that was a while ago. Have you tried them?

The last set of P4000's that I got were from Kwik Fit
They matched the best price I could find of £102.35 per tyre for 215x70x15.
I've never had an issue with these and I know quite a few others in the club that use them.

When I said "got mine" I meant P4000s. Never had any problems with them. To be honest, didn't know they been superceded by P6000s.

Re: Tires
Latest info is that Pirelli are going to do a production run of P4000's in 6-8 weeks time. Probably in response to all the US back orders, so they should be available in December.Apparently over the past few months they have been concentrating on manufacturing 4x4 tyres. Many of the reports I've found regarding the P6000 and P6 Tyres indicate that they are a harder compound and do not hold the road as well, particularly in the wet.
Please excuse my spelling of 'tires', I can only put it down to looking at to many US web sites!!

Are you still looking for P4000's - I may be able to help. 4 tyres - they've covered less than 1000 miles, road use only. Make me an offer!

It seems P4000's are available again, both 205x70x15 and 215x70x15.
