Looks like the car has been sold .... it's going to be on it's way to Germany. Gent (should I say Herr) came over on thurs/friday, wants to add it to his collection of 25 other cars (I hate him). Just waiting for balance to get transferred and then he's flying back to collect and DRIVE all the way to Lake Constance .... brave man

Herr Koenig is picking the car up this friday. Taking the Newcastle / Amsterdam ferry then a 12 hour drive to Lake Constance. Now there's a brave man driving an unknown, handbuilt car for the first time for 12hours.
So starts the search ... all can help, if anyone see a Kirkham 289 slabside for sale in USA giveus a shout.
This may take sometime so anyone that want a passenger to share petrol to 2015 events .... I'm your man :D

Dale, your Mr. Koenig is a well known dealer: "Royal classic cars" in Friedrichshafen. Normally he sells older cars that fetch big money. (Jag, Bentley, Riley, Alvis). A Daytona will be something new for him!

I suspect "inventory" might be closer to the truth. He maybe didn't want to let on that he was a dealer to give the impression he was going to keep it for himself. Time will tell, but it will be interesting to see if it appears on his website and for how much. You might not want to see Dale.
