289 and 302 engines for sale.

Post by performance289 »

Hello everyone.
I have for sale some 289 and 302 engines I have collected over time and I am now selling.
I have bare blocks/short blocks/long blocks and complete engines.
Most of the engines I have are standard bore and have never been bored.
I have both 5 bolt and 6 bolt 289 engines and 302 engines from 1968-1972.
I am offering these engines for sale if anyone is interested as good rebuild able cores.
The engines have been stored for many years in dry storage and are sold as is with no warranties.
If anyone is interested please drop me a pm.
Many thanks
Have a nice day.

A bit of information about yourself and your name would be a better introduction for a first post!
Cheers, Clive.

(If I'm not here I'm in my workshop or on the golf course!)

If you`re the chap I spoke to on the ACOC stand at the NEC, Hi & Welcome! I took your card & mentioned your supply of engines to a few people, and still have your card (somewhere!)

Hello everyone
Yes I did speak to a gentlemen at the nec who was very helpful and told me to advertise my engines here on this forum.
Thank you very much for your time that day at the nec. I have only just got around to advertising the engines for sale.
Thank you for keeping my card and mentioning my engines to a few people. Very much appreciated.

Hi David, and welcome along, I still haven't got around to sorting out photos from the NEC yet!
Am I remembering correctly that you were racing a Falcon & had a number of spare engines, but are no longer racing?
And for the benefit of logistics, you are in the Coventry area?
I hope your engines will be of use to some here,
Cheers, Nik.

Hello nik
Yes you remembered me correctly. I used to race my falcon and bought these 289 and 302 engines as spares and I am now offering them for sale. I am based in the Coventry area.
Thank you very much for your time and help that day at the nec. Very much appreciated.
Thanks again for your help and for keeping my details and passing them on to your friends.
All the best.
Dave

Mmmmmm......Racing Falcon.

I've always rather fancied a Falcon. Whereabouts in Coventry are you Dave? I work in Allesley.

I'm afraid I have no need of a 289 or 302 as I have a 427 FE in mine, but I'm sure they'll be very useful to someone.

I had a chat, and I thought the prices were pretty good...
Values for blocks and correctly dated parts for these cars are only going to go one way now, I'm afraid. Over the years I've bought too many 'good' US V8 motors for £500 only to get them home, strip them and find they're junk.
