Bigg Red are excellent, I use them for all my caliper refurbs. Which reminds me, I have a spare set to go off to them for the M Coupé. They seem huge for such a small car, and need to be black with the 'M' logo recesses picked out in the 3 M colours. Subtle, eh?

Bigg Red did 'cadmium plate' finish for the calipers on 7 CSX.

Mm - sounds nice.

So cadmium plate is that gold finish you get on some parts then? Learn something new every day.

The gold colour is probably a passivate on top of the plating.

The gold finish used to be cadmium plate - due to elf n' safety they're not allowed to use it any more. So what we have now, is yellow passivated zinc or silver passivated zinc. Doesn't last as well, but as we all know it is deemed that quality must go backwards so it is the only option.
