It will go for a way lot more than £2200.
I bought COB3A via the DVLA auction and I know that Colin and Roger have found good numbers there too.

Hm. I'm prepared to spend a couple of grand, say, on a plate - but never that much. If you have an original UK car it should retain its original plate, all part of the history.
