Cobra jacket for sale

Post by agnoraan »

I've just imported this jacket only to find that it's a tad too big for me. It's a large and is brand new and I really don't want to sell it, but I need to buy a medium

What size is "Large" Nige e.g. chest, length (collar to hem at the back), sleeve length (shoulder to cuff).

Thanks,
Paul

I think it will be "American" large, therefore the equivalent of XL in the UK.
Cheers, Clive.

Hi Paul, I'll measure it for you later, bit busy at the moment, but I would think it should fit you :D When I ordered it, I told them I was a 45" chest & they suggested the large. I do have short arms though & that's where it looks wrong. before anyone says anything I also have short pockets too

Ah bum - got here a bit too late! I am rapidly becoming XL.

What's the material like? It looks like fleece? Presumably that's not what the originals were, but I'd be interested if you think it is good quality. Might get one myself...

Thanks,

Andrew

Not in American sizes, I think!
These jackets appear to come in Medium, Large, 4-Man & Marquee.
Material is a pretty authentic looking wool, nice leather-trimmed pockets, the only thing not very original is the 'Cobra' emblem on the back isn`t embroidered, but a sewn-on towelling-like material, but it looks pretty damned good!
You at Goodwood? You can try my Medium, and gauge from that. :)

Haha! Thanks - that's reassuring. It'll be a few years yet 'til they need to airlift me to hospital to have my toenails clipped...

Not at Goodwood unfortunately, but thanks for the offer. Much appreciated... If you have time or inclination to do any measuring that'd be great, but don't worry too much. I should be saving for some wheels really.

Perhaps the Club should buy one and we could hold the AGM in it at Silverstone next year! :P
