Pair of original style Cobra seats required, preferably with runners, condition not overly important, ideally black.
Cheers.

Re: Cobra seats wanted
Hi Nik,
Have you tried Gerry for seats? His are pretty close, with the correct Karvel carpet backing.
As to runners - if my experiences over the last 5 years are anything to go by, absolutely no chance mate! Exclusive to Cobras (due to the chassis outrigger spacings) and not reproduced.

Re: Cobra seats wanted
All points noted, thank you sir.
Hoping to find some used ones that will do 'for now' and to fit a Hawk, originality of runners unimportant, functionality essential!
[edit] Seats sourced, just need to arrange runners...Hawk owners, what do you use?

No runners, both seats bolted directly to the floor.
Have you bought a Hawk Nik ????

Re: Cobra seats wanted
If memory serves, I used Healey 3000 seat runners for mine. Try places like Car Builder Solutions or Tweeks, but you must get the lowest you can find. A lot of the 'racey car' stuff is no good as it raises the seat too much. TR, Spitfire maybe - in a Hawk you are spoilt for choice because they only go through the 'glass/plywood floor sandwich, wherever you want to put them.
The clever trick is avoiding the chassis tubes underneath! To be able to get a nut on the threads of mine I welded a couple of side extensions on to the seat runners for the mounting bolts, to allow easy access underneath. If you're six foot stupid then you may need to forgo the runners and bolt straight through the floor - Hawks are not really designed for tall people! - or sit high and wear a forehead protector...

Have seen a set of universal double-side latching rails with 25mm lift, and 200mm travel, that seems to cover all requirements...plus they are inexpensive, which is a bonus!

Oh phew... I thought it was £600 each, but that's for a pair...much better! If I hadn't bought the one above, I'd have had them like a shot!
