I'll defer to the RAM owners amongst us but understood the width could be reduced by as much as three inches which sounds quite significant, and judging from Barry's car, well worth it if you are inclined to do the work.

If it is as much as that, it's definitely worth doing, but it will still be a very wide tunnel compared to a Hawk or an original.Dave Woodward wrote:I'll defer to the RAM owners amongst us but understood the width could be reduced by as much as three inches which sounds quite significant, and judging from Barry's car, well worth it if you are inclined to do the work.

True but talk to Phil about his 'coffee table' and then look at Barry's. I think Phil is quite keen on the idea himselfPaul Blore wrote:If it is as much as that, it's definitely worth doing, but it will still be a very wide tunnel compared to a Hawk or an original.

Yes, cut out the glass fibre funnel, not the central part of the chassis.
It seems the tunnel sits between 1 and 1.5 inches away from the chassis itself and with such a wide tunnel, every little bit of space is important (especially with my lardy ar5e!)
Another ram owner has done it and even managed to squeeze in a pair of Gerry's Hawk seats which wouldn't go anywhere near a standard ram.
