Does anybody have an early Stewart Warner tach like the one in the picture they would be prepared to sell. I have a complete set of matching instruments (nicely aged ) that will need to be reconditioned but am still seeking a matching tach.

Re: Early SW 8k tach wanted
Alternatively would anybody know if its possible to easily convert a pedestal mounted tach into a dash mounted tach?

If it's anything like this one, it looks like it's just held in the pedestal mount by single screw:

I suppose the problem is how to hold it in the dashboard once it is removed from the pedestal though...

It would be an expensive experiment

I would have thought it would be easy and straightforward to make it into a panel mount gauge.

Just realised it's $425 with $66 postage! Ouch.
