Anybody have, or know of a source for FIA spinners to fit MGB threads.
Gerry's were £600 plus VAT 12 months ago so thought I would ask.
Cheers.

Has not so much to do with MG, you are looking for Type 42, 8 TPI. That should be your splines and thread.

Try Orson. They are the OEM for many of the retailers you might go to.

Think they must have an agreement with Gerry as they are not interested.

Vintage wheel, Trigo, they are all the same for FIA or 427, they have 60 deg angle on the back side where they touch the wheel.

Re: FIA spinners for MG hubs
They may be the same but on what hub type do they assume?
Will need to be type 42 for my purposes.

Re: FIA spinners for MG hubs
Not all Trigo spinners have a 60 deg angle on the back. The ones that I bought had to have the face milled to 60 deg as they weren't the right angle, and also had to be milled down into the rear face of the spinner, as they weren't to the correct depth either. The spinners contact patch to the wheel was only a couple of mm wide. I contacted Trigo regarding this and they said that some of their early wheels were milled at a different angle between some of their 289 and 427's. They sent me drawings for me to get them milled elsewhere to their spec. These were for peg drive wheels, so I don't know if that makes a differenceKarl wrote:Vintage wheel, Trigo, they are all the same for FIA or 427, they have 60 deg angle on the back side where they touch the wheel.
Best to check the angles are correct first
