Re: Hood and Side Screen Ferrules
Alan,
You will need to be careful cutting the Perspex. Cut slowly and ensure the blade doesn't wiggle which could cause a crack.
I had problems with cutting mine too quickly and replaced it with polycarbonate which of course is also far far stronger. It gives you piece of mind from any stone hit.

Alan,
Good question.
I used a standard hacksaw blade ( 24tpi ) but therein the problem of the holder when part way through the cut.

Re: Hood and Side Screen Ferrules
Used a grinder with a thin 1mm cutting disk for my single racing screen.

Re: Hood and Side Screen Ferrules
I am surprised that the high speed of a disc cutter will work as I thought it was the heat melting the plastic that I originally had issues with.

Re: Hood and Side Screen Ferrules
Use an electric jigsaw with a basic metal blade, and put masking tape on both sides of the area you are cutting.
