I have just seen a new line in tool cabinets at Homebase....brushed Silver and a hardwood top...sliding drawers and a really nice size (desk high and wide) and on robust large castor wheels
They are a new line for Homebase and from memory about £350 and I have seen them on line in another retailer in different widths going up to 1.8m
I will try and get some pictures and post them.

Erm - why would you want a wooden work bench? Moonlighting as a butcher?
