Could you not have changed the popper type stud for a lift the dot stud or would it have damaged the paintwork.

Technically, it doesn't really matter which type of fastener you have in that position as neither is correct from an originality point of view.

Although I`m very sad about the circumstances that this became available, I`m looking forward to fitting it this weekend, and hoping not to need it!
