Thanks Bill, have you still got his or her number?

I'll throw in delivery to Glasgow for that!

Are people really paying 35-45K for a rover engined car?
I was told only 289-302 engines in Hawks command that sort of money....or have things changed?

The market has seemingly picked up as the prices have on all classics. Hawks only come up occasionally and they tend to get snapped up. I was offered 50 for mine recently (it's not for sale and never will be) and it's got an MGB back end so it cannot be ruled out that rover engined cars are north of 40. I'm sure we all agree that Migge's BRA with a Rover could command much more than that.
If you don't like the price, don't pay it, but you may wait a long time to get the right car at a price you are willing to pay.

Not enough for your car Migge. (Just imagine what it would be worth with a Ford engine!

)
Cheers, Clive.

My insurance broker encouraged me to raise the agreed value on mine to £39k. I have since had discussions with other members who think that is a little low!
IMO the more authentic the car looks the more likely the value will be higher and Hawk's do tend to have that little bit extra in disguising the replica aspect.
