Hey guys,
Down in Australia is a sea of 427 replica's, there is less than a handful of genuine 289's and replica's and I am yet to personally come across either...
But was quite chuffed on the weekend to see and park next to a 1962 AC Ace owned by Penrite Oil which sports the Ruddspeed 2.6 triple webber. Was told only 25 left from 37 produced and only one in the Southern Hemisphere!
Oh soo glad I went....
Look what I came across.....

That's great!
How is you car - I remember it was garaged for 15 years - you obviously managed to put Ozzy plates on it - BRA no. 004 if I remember?
What else did you get to do to it?[/quote]
Hi Alan,
Yep its on a 'club plate registration' which gives me 90 days use per year, which seems to be working out to be just enough days...
After the little 15 year snooze i rebuilt carbie, rebuilt heads, plugs, leads, fuel pump/filter, radiator, fan, brakes, tyres, tubes, all bushes, tramp bars, diff seals, exhaust system, speedo circuit board... so have been a very busy little boy
Funny enough all wiring seems to be ok, the only part i replaced was battery negative to body.
And you cannot get the smile off my face
