Well, after careful consideration I've painted the stripes on the car to follow the nose section :-).

Out of interest what is the legal requirements on visible/ useable headlights. I assume that given any bad weather during the day you can remove the black covers.
I know Migge has them on his car so if it’s OK in Germany then one would assume it’s OK here as well but would Mr Plod take a dim view?

Just for the event Peter. Of course you can't use them on the road. I just forget them sometimes to remove.

Strangely enough, if you have a "daytime MOT" and yes there is such a thing, then you don't need lights ;-)

I'm not sure if that works. Some times you have to join a tunnel or need lights a bad weather etc.

I've been looking at this for a few days and I must say I like it! A bit different from the usual stripes and works really well. :D
Cheers, Clive.

I thought I'd add a link to this thread showing how the aluminium dash was made, thus keeping the build of this car in one thread.

UPDATED PICS OF FINISHED DASH
I also made an aluminium surround for the shifter gaiter and the handbrake. That's the interior finished now.

I thought I'd already posted this but obviously not. It's a video of the car with it's new X pipe exhaust system, crank up the volume ;-)
