The rear end has now been flatted down and cut back

And the boot lid has been painted and striped.

Thats great work Nige - nice.
I won't be getting up at 4am to paint my rear end any time soon, so I admire your dedication.

A quick update, the rear end is now finished, I've put a smooth number plate on instead of the metal one, the boot handle has now been removed and its been pinstriped in black again.

I should have shut the boot for the picture

The hardtop is now back on again

As are the headlight covers

They're now held on with some small aluminium clips that I made, instead of using Velcro.

Undecided as to whether to fit some straps over the rear screen, a la racecar, but not sure about that though, it looks a bit too fussy

That looks so bloody good, but I hate those screen straps!

Loving the work Nige. I'm not sure about the straps. Perhaps if they were black they would be less obtrusive and blend with the pinstripes.
Cheers, Clive.

(If I'm not here I'm in my workshop or on the golf course!)

Fussy, FUSSY! You’re worried about screen straps being too fussy!

Lovely work as ever Nige 👍
