Re: This one spent 40 years with the same owner
Lovely picture - especially with the snow coming down over it!
Strange that the car was sold to 'Ed Jurist's Vintage Car Store' when it was probably only 6 or 7 years of age! But who knows.
Personally I want to go and see this (off the same site): http://justacarguy.blogspot.co.uk/2015/ ... ttend.html

I was pleased to see the TASCA badge on the back of the red 289 as I have the exact same badge on the back of mine.

Both of those Beasts have been regulars at the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power, which is a great event that`s possibly a little easier to get to!amulheirn wrote:...Personally I want to go and see this (off the same site): http://justacarguy.blogspot.co.uk/2015/ ... ttend.html

Am I the only one who gets annoyed when they describe a car like that as 'American'?

No, you're not Roger, but it's the age old argument when AC and Shelby are concerned. Shelby spun so many yarns so often than some of them have become accept by many as fact.Roger King wrote:Am I the only one who gets annoyed when they describe a car like that as 'American'?

I always used to refer to my SIII Interceptor as Italian - it was styled by Vignale....
Great fun car, out-cubed most people on our European runs with the 440!
