Mmmmm, a DB with your level of detail... No pressure, but God, I can't wait to see this Cobra, parked next to Roger's...in the BOtB area!

Haha - located in Anorak's Corner, more like, Nik!
I'm already starting to get a little twitch under my eye, like Herbert Lom in The Pink Panther as I start to obsess about Trico washer bottles, narrow wheels and don't get me started on what colour I should paint it - Paul and Roger are already considering issuing some sort of restraining order...
I am very much looking forward to seeing your car too - I know how anticipated it was, so you must still be pinching yourself that it's finally here.
It's really lovely to be 'back in the club', as it were; 2017 should be a momentous year for all things Cobra and I genuinely can't wait to see my car come together.

Re: Another 427
Is the timescale going to bring it to you this year?
I thought BOtB was slightly more flattering than GOAT or Anoraks Corner, but if the waterproof hooded jacket fits, wear it!
Good to have you back in the fold, and I look forward to showing you 'Scruffbag', it's fair to say I won't be challenging you or Roger in the concours or originality sections!
p.s. 1 vote for AC Polychromatic Blue!

I'd say it will be ready by the summer, all things crossed Nik, perhaps a little sooner if the automotive gods are smiling...

Progress update...
Registration number acquired and body colour choices narrowed down to either Vineyard Green, which is my personal choice or the expert's choice (Paul and Roger) of Rouge Iris/Monza Red.
For either option, I'm erring to wheels in a blasted or 'as cast' finish.
I've also been lucky enough to source an original 60's Shelby dealer emblem (Courtesy Ford of Englewood) from the 'states for fitment to the boot.
This is a rare as hen's teeth original period item; so rare in fact that against all the odds I may have acquired two, so look out in the 'for sale' section soon for the spare one...
