After a lot of deliberating and car searching I've decided to go down the Aluminium 427 route.
Just paid my deposit to Dave Brookes so I'm officially chassis No 006. Should be about a 9-10 month build time.

What's the story with registration Dale?
Congrats on the purchase. Lovely car. Not sure how I feel about more 427's in the club though

WOW!!! Congratulations, I was super-impressed with the Ali 427 Dave took to Oulton Park earlier this year, to the point of convincing the purchaser of #005 to do the deal!

Don`t recall his name, but I met him again at the NEC and he confirmed that he has struck a deal with Dave.
Whoever get`s the chassis after yours had better call it "James", don`t you think?

I think you've got your order in at the right time Dale, I can only see Dave's prices going one way as they're way too cheap at the moment when you consider the work that's gone into them. They're less than half the price of a Kirkham, but they're nowhere near being half the car.

Thanks Nick. I'll start posting photos of the build progression once it starts. He's got 2, 3, 4 to finish and 5 & 6 to start. Should begin mine spring (fingers crossed)nikbj68 wrote:WOW!!! Fantastic news and as Nik said, the one at Oulton was really nicely put together, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Are you buying it as a turn key car?
