Not as scary as it sounds, but more special tools required. At the end of the day, it's still an internal combustion engine under all those covers and electronics! One thing that really appeals with the S54B32 motor is that even though it was built in 2001 and is still available today aftermarket, is that you actually have to adjust the valve clearances by hand at every major service, on every one of its 24 valves.
