As posted on the other thread, you might want to ask Barry about a dummy leafspring, and a lot of other stuff besides.
As to what extremes I've gone to, how long have you got? And do you know, or are you related to, my bank manager?
How about a cheapie - removing heater, under dash wiring, top section of aluminium front bulkhead, wiper motor, lots of wiring etc. to insert a strip of marine ply, 18"x1 1/8"x1/8", into the horizontal joint between the upper and lower aluminium sections of the bulkhead, across the top of the footboxes?

I spray painted my inner wings and bulkhead with Halfords aluminium paint, good enough for GH to ask how I managed to clad it so well.
