Hood stuff

Post by Dale Bowman »

Where's the best place to go for hood bows, side screens, ferrules etc etc. I cant seem to find a company that would do the whole kit n caboodle.

Hi Dale, only just seen your posting.
I would try Hawk first which is where I bought all my bits. Saw Gerry delivering Side screen frames, ferrules etc to the show yesterday for someone well known with an original Cobra.
Of course you will need to cut the front of the frames to suit the car before you get them trimmed. Gerry can supply the Perspex including the sliding portion with glued on clear Perspex handles.
My recommendedation would be to use polycarbonate for the front section of the side screen as it’s so much stonger e.g. won’t get shattered by a stone and it’s easier to cut without cracking.
