Modern car ownership

Post by Roger King »

It's official (as if there was ever any doubt), I'm becoming a dinosaur.
I look at the Abarth OC forum quite often as the owner of one of the first wave of 124 Spiders, but am getting increasingly disturbed by the nature of the threads on there. I started off looking forward to discussions on the phenomenal lightweight cornering ability, the clever wishbone pick-up points, where in the rev-range the outsize turbo produces most grunt, comments on the stopping power of the big red Brembo calipers or the effectiveness of the mechanical LSD...

The hot discussion topic at the moment is how to get the graphics for the album you're playing via bluetooth on your ipod to appear on the dashboard screen. Ho hum, the yoof of today...
