289 on tv
I recently fast forward through what was possibly the worst programme I had ever seen. However it did feature an interesting car in it...a HANK 289 !

Yes, very rare......it’s a 289 FIA pronounced on the programme...”fear”

Oh, and for anyone looking for the programme......please don’t.....it’s shockingly awful and embarrassing in the extreme.

Re: 289 on tv
Yet another cheap TV programme to add to the thousands of other garbage productions on air. It's a crime such a nice car had to be featured in such a bad crapumnetary. The producers should be ashamed.
Was the "HANK" chassis produced by the legendary Gerry Hankridge by any chance?
This was the car owned by ex-member Marcus Price and was known as the "Yellow Peril" (owing to its colour at the time). It had a very interesting build spec, which Gerry Hawkridge could tell us more about. It's clearly changed hands a number of times over the past few years. I hope it's finally gone to a real enthusiast, but somehow, I doubt it.
...and now, back to watching The Only Way Is Essex.

Worst programme ever?
You've clearly never seen "Just Tattoo of us"!
I so nearly bought that car, but the spec was quite extreme for road use, specifically my Mum on the road use!

Re: 289 on tv
Hilariously bad.....in fact I was expecting a Great White from Sharknado to pop up.
Everything about it is so obviously staged, but I liked the bit where Mr Sartorial Elegance wanted a kiss as a down payment on the 'dinner date'.
