Mechanical. I don't know for sure but could it be possible that a Mazda Miata MX5 or a Datsun Z (240, 260, 280) speedodrive fits too?

Have you tried Real Steel? http://www.realsteel.co.uk/

Will give them a try but it seems that they only handle US gearboxes and they have a different speedo drive that can't be mounted to the Cosworth box

Thanks Kevin.

The speedodrive for a Cosworth T5 box should look like the one on the picture

There is an off the shelf speedo cable that fits the T10/T5/Tremec TKO gearbox (you will of course need the toothed driver) and hooks up to a US speedometer (Stewart warner etc),it is the perfect length and it's only £30. It saves a lot of messing about with custom made cables

Its Scott Drake part number C7ZZ-17260-B and is listed as Mustang 4 speed 1967-68

https://mustangmaniac.co.uk/part/54/391 ... es_4_speed

And here you can calculate which size driver you need
