Hi Guys one and all.
I have just registered the club to have a 289 Register club pitch at the Cranleigh Classic show on Sunday August 14th.
You will need to register individually quoting our club reference UMAHVXV and pay £7 entry fee before 21st June.
There is an extra cost of £6 for a passenger.
The organisers will then allocate the size of our pitch according to the number of cars registered.
So please sign up for this as it’s usually a well attended show with around 2000 cars.
Please note for safety reasons you are not allowed to leave before 1.30 but then I don’t know why you would want to with the amount there is to see.

Thanks Peter - I have registered and it is in the diary!

Shall I mail our region and the neighbouring ones to get some additional interest? We had 12 cars there a few years ago - let's hope we can manage that again - it's a nice show.

Cheers
Andy

Just to remind everyone that if you want to attend the Cranleigh Classic then we need members to register with the organisers using our code UMAHVXV before end of June, although I think they may have now moved the deadline till first week July.
This enables them to allocate the size of our pitch accordingly.
We only have three members booked so far and it would be good to get back up to our attendance level of a few years ago.
Let’s aim to get into double figures.

Still only three members booked in. So guys get on line and book before 6th July. Use our club reference UMAHVXV.
It’s a good event taking place on 14th Aug.

Last minute bonus to the Cranleigh event.
We have just been invited to participate in the arena on account of our club’s anniversary and of course the AC 60th.
Fingers crossed all the cars behave themselves in the heat.

Thanks for your help Andrew. I think we agreed that the gazebo was a necessity with yesterday’s intensity of sun and of course the heat.
I re packed it today in the hope I could get rid of all the bits of grass. It appears my lawn was no better for loose bits so it required continued brushing as it was rolled back up.
It was a shame we didn’t have a better turn out but those that who did enjoyed a bonus of being invited into the arena and chatting about their car to the crowd.
Our interviewer was complimentary about our cars and I was able to enlighten him to what the 289 meant in our name and why my car had bumps on the bootlid.
A good day.
