IVA Pass and Registration
Re: IVA Pass and Registration
This is after lowering front and rear. I think the front is too low now, what do you think?

A bit low front and rear in my opinion, but it's up to you. Originals ran higher than most of our do. Remember the suspension will settle after the first few hundred miles.
Lovely looking car.

Depends on the chassis geometry. If everything is fine with steering, damping, camber etc. it's okay

I would definitely get the geometry set when the ride height has settled. Pictures tell lies, but that last photo looks to show a lot of negative camber on the rear, and zero, to positive camber on the front.

I agree with Clive.

Thanks Gents, I'll check the rear camber tomorrow. It does look worse in the pix. Front is certainly too low. Especially as I haven't managed to get the exhaust up high enough. It needs a bit of persuasion to clear around the starter. Once the weathers a bit better I can get a few more miles in and have her set up properly.

Hi Stu, as already stated it will settle a bit with use so you will be re adjusting it in a years time. The front does look a tad low and probably worth nudging it up a bit now to assist the exhaust over the speed bumps. If you happen to traverse the M40 do NOT venture into the services at Oxford. The speed bumps are vicious.
I remember having to cut a little off the front bend of the exhaust to persuade the system to be a little higher. It’s a long time ago now but I think I took some off both bend and exhaust manifold. Obviously measure how much overlap you can still attain and much much clearance you need on other items like starter motor.
