Have you ever been truly honest with yourself and admitted that ‘Desire can override any rational notion of value for money.’
Hmmm!!
I will have to pay for my engine rebuild soon but then I didn’t really have an option but get it fixed. Perhaps a cheap unknown quality alternative on EBay. No thanks.
I have just upped the insurance value to reflect.

Come on Peter,
If the guys at this forum would thin rational and would just be normal, they had other hobbies than a Cobra lookalike

Re: Thought of the week
I copied the comment from my latest EVO magazine made by a guy who had inserted a Rover V8 into his Ford Capri and spent rather a lot of money in the process to get it track ready for a few track days per year.
I’m on a high today despite having just parted with several thousand pounds.
Engine spec has just been advised as higher than expected. Circa 310 BHP from 4748cc.
Long sequence now starts of checking the new exhaust manifolds match their respective ports and lagging them. Then bolting/ connecting everything back in.
So looking forward to seeing how it drives.

I saw the same sentiment echoed on the Aqualholic Youtube channel once (I hanker after a boat, but unlikely to ever buy one).
Its the same answer here: when the sun shines and the car drives....the price doesn't matter!

Re the boat….. you know the saying don’t you?

Peter, I can't remember...is yours a Rover engine? Who's doing your rebuild?
